BBES is a PeaceBuilder school! We are now in year 9 of our PeaceBuilder implementation, in conjunction with The Lighthouse Project. PeaceBuilders is a set of values, a common language, and a way of life that both honoring of each honor and research-based to create a community of one voice of peace. We begin each day by saying the PeaceBuilder Pledge, which states:

“I am a PeaceBuilder. I pledge to praise people, to give up put-downs, to seek wise people, to notice and speak up about hurts I have caused, to right wrongs, to help others. I will build peace at home, at school, and in my community each day.”
